Since January 08 you now have 60 days after signing on the pardon to register your vehicle instead of 30.

The import tax is now called emissions duty and is worked out on a percentage which varies according to how much c02 the vehicle emits.

To register a vehicle for the first time in Spain you need a residenica card / certificate.

This is correct for the Alicante region.
