Gigi - You may be eligible for a Spanish passport if your mother was born in Spain. I don't know much about the Spanish rules for getting citizenship and a passport, but I do know that having an EU passport gives you right of residence here, and the right to work. Getting a work permit otherwise will be very difficult if not impossible.
