I was thinking the same thing as I was writing the post. I dearly want to go back there again and see how much has changed; From what I've heard the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront has vastly changed from when I last stayed in one of the hotel's there (I think it was the City Hotel but I can't remember).

Then there was one time a group of us from work were heading out for a bite in the Sports bar on the waterfront (which I believe is no longer there) and the bouncer asked us if we had any concealed weapons. I smirked at the thought until, one of our group, the most diminutive gentle black haired blue-eyed sweetly smiling lass you could imagine, brought out a gun that I swear to this day was twice as large the the handbag she produced it from! LOL
