Although Argentines are great lovers of animals, there are still many stray cats and dogs which is heart-breakening. Yesterday when I opened the door for my daughter, she had been followed home by a big stray dog. The strays are so calm and looking for love. The strays instinctly known when you love animals.
We hope to be able to set up an animal rescue centre in the future. An ex-pat in Buenos Aires has a rescue operation and we would love to do the same here one day.
People always assume that when there are strays, the locals don't love animals. If there didn't exist places like Battersea dogs home, the UK would have the same problem and the UK is a country of animal lovers also.
