We are also in the same boat! We have applied for a permenant visa and are planning to move to Melbourne, we lodged our visa 4 months ago and we have been told by our agents that they are only processing visas that are on the critical skills list, my partner is a lift engineer and unfortunatly is not on the list! So it is a waiting game i suppose! Let us know how you get on and good luck!
