The summers are less humid but dry hot. We've had a few bushfires because it's been so HOT!! If you have little kiddies just make sure you have air conditioning! There's no such thing over here in the UK but in Australia it's a must!!

Rest assure after a period of hotness, the weather does change to something cooler. Melbourne is known for it's 4 seasons in a day. At times it's sunny and warm in the morning but by lunch you'll need a cardigan and the weather is grey!

I agree the mozzies and flies are bad!!!! I used to get eaten alive by the mozzies and chased everywhere by the flies!!
