Pamm, not trying to discourage you from your plans at all. But I've been on the wrong end of a visa attempt that failed, precisely because the "validity" of the relationship was being questioned. All I'm saying is that, if you can do a few things to strengthen your case and avoid spending time as an "illegal alien" it's worth it.
