Were in a sort-of-similar position, my hubby was a joiner/carpenter 10 years ago, no a building estimator, we have just found out from GO MATILDA, that we will be able to get a state sponsor on hubbys old trade, he will have to do a skills test and will will have to remain in QLD for 2 yrs (I can live with that!), and he can look for work as a Estimator and not a joiner, it just gives them assurance that because trades like joiners and hairdresser are in demand, you will always find work. So she dosn't have to do hairdressing....hope this makes sense???
