Hi Chev, not sure if this is of any help but I've spent many an hour surfing the NZ Immigration website and they have some useful stuff in the family category - be careful though as the web address is immigration.gov (with nz at the end) not .co.nz!

Or if you can travel easily to London, go to the NZ Immigration London branch in Haymarket. They're open between 10am and 3pm (I think) and it'll be worth seeing them because you can speak to a visa advisor in person who I'm sure could advise the best option for you. I found them really helpful. Get there early though - you take a ticket and wait for the numbers to tick by which often means a long wait, but well worth it!
