Dublin Lady is on a distinguished road
Default G'd Day from Sydney

Hi there, well, thats a big decision moving to NSW with your family. I've lived in Sydney for 18 years and love it (well I suppose I must do). I live on the northern beaches which is absolutley beautiful. Like all cities there are good areas and not so good areas and like wise the price of real estate coincides with the area in question.

The Northern Beaches really caters for family life, parks, beaches, schools, malls, movie theatres etc., Most public schools have after care for children whose parents work and during school vacation there is also vacation care so the family unit is pretty well covered here. The economy is really good at the moment with the lowest unemployment rate in years so if there was a time to move, now is a good one. Weather, well we're spoilt. There are 2 seasons realistically in Sydney Summer and Autumn and thats about it. In summer temperatures are in the high 20s with touches of 30s and every now and then the 40 mark (not pleasant). Winter realistically is June, July and August - it can get a tad cold then however you may not notice the cold initially until you climatise - I think I've become a little soft over the years!!

There are lots of lovely towns in NSW however employment wouldnt be as good as Sydney - goes without saying.

Anyhow good look with your move and if I can give you any more advise or pointers, let me know.

Donna
