Just to let you all know - not sure it's common knowledge yet. Have it on excellent authority from lady working in the council. New law passed mid last year on long lets. A long let is classed as 5 years. If you are given an 11 month contract you are on a short let - higher rents then!!
I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has heard about this - obviously the letting agents clam up when asked!!
