There are quite a few English people (and anglophones) in Normandy - at least the locals seem to complain about them like there are lots of them.

We just got back from spending the weekend in Normandy, only a bit east of where you are (near Dieppe). I love that area of France. The people are very nice and open (generally - there are always a few grouches but just ignore them), the countryside is beautiful, if perhaps a bit chilly during the winter. And if you like apples and cream, you'll be in gastronomical heaven!
