Hallo everybody
i am new here :) and i like this site very much!
We are an italian family and we live in Germany with 2 children and we would like to move to Canada in march.
Question: If we enter with a tourist visa and later we find a sponsor for a job, then can this tourist visa change in a work permit or resident permit ? or we have to go out of the country and re-enter?

thanks very much

Hello Didi and welcome to the site,

Yes, you can come on vacation and be granted a stay of up to six months. During this time you can look for work but if you find work it's unlikely that all the paperwork can be completed before your holiday visa expires. If you do get it in time you don't need to go back to Germany to activate your status but you'd have to do what's known as going round the flagpole.
Do not come to Canada without a return ticket. You may be refused entry.
