Guzelyurt is a town in Cyprus that is known for its rich agricultural lands. Blessed with an extremely favorable climate and a distinctive fertile red soil, Guzelyurt boasts of the best oranges, lemons, grapefruits and strawberries in the region. In addition, the town has a few other smaller clinics and health care facilities, and for non-emergencies you can always drive into the neighboring towns like Nicosia where there are more options for medical care.
Educational Establishments
Being primarily a resort town, there is not much in the way of educational establishments in Guzelyurt. There is the Guzelyurt Turk Maarif College, which you can call at 714 5400 and the Kurtulus High School, which you can call at 714 2144 and 714 4841.
As is the case with medical care though, the other towns are not really that far away so you can always look into the other colleges in the country such as the Cyprus International University in Nicosia, the Eastern Mediterranean University in Famagusta, the European University of Lefke, the Girne American University in Kyrenia and finally the Near East University Nicosia.
The good news is that educational standards in Cyprus are generally very high and the schools just mentioned are particularly outstanding examples of the quality of education that you can get in the country.
Commercial Places in Guzelyurt
There are a number of options for restaurants and dining establishments in Guzelyurt, all of which are excellent places to take in the many stunning natural attractions that the town offers. You will also want to try out many of the smaller dining establishments that offer local cuisine at very low prices.

The Karballa hotel, aside from being a good place to park your bags, offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and interiors that are steeped in the area’s tradition. Formerly a school for the Greek clergy, Karballa now offers a huge dining area, a very respectable bar, and nightly room rates of 45 euros, which comes with a complimentary breakfast.
The Soli Inn Hotel is also worth a closer look with a restaurant that offers indoor and outdoor dining, a well stocked bar, a private beach, a vegetable garden and a health center. There are even the typical hotel amenities like a swimming pool and a tennis court.
